Question:
What is the difference between RGB and CMYK?
Answer:
Printing presses print with Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (CMYK) inks. This is called process printing. Scanners, digital cameras and computer monitors use RGB light, and therefore produce a different range of color.
Some RGB colors that your monitor or camera produce simply cannot be replicated with standard CMYK inks. If you created your design using RGB color values, your RGB file will be converted to CMYK during the pre-press process. This color conversion may cause an undesirable color shift in your finished product.

Question:
What resolution should I use?
Answer:
Images should have a minimum resolution of 180 ppi (pixels per inch) at print-size. Images with a resolution lower than 180 ppi may reproduce poorly on an off-set printing press. This could result in a pixilated or fuzzy image. Here is the Minimum Resolution and DPI Guide

Question:
Can you make a edits or corrections to my files?
Answer:
Yes, our pre-press department can make minor changes to your file depending on the file format that was uploaded, there may be a small fee associated with these change.

Please don't hesitate to contact us, we’re here to help you with any questions you may have, advice or technical support.

Question:
Can I produce a 1, 2 or 3 color job?
Answer:
For standard products, if you submit a graphics file built with a Pantone (PMS) color, or using 1, 2 or 3-color graphics it will be converted to CMYK before printing. This conversion could cause colors to shift in your finished product.
If you want to print a job using spot colors, please request a Custom Quote.

Question:
Can I request custom Pantone (PMS) colors?
Answer:
Yes, we offer Pantone PMS colors in addition to the process inks. If you want to print a job using PMS colors please request a Custom Quote.

Question:
What percentages should I use for rich black?
Answer:
We recommend C=50; M=40; Y=40; K=100 to get the best rich black. Rich black is not recommended for smaller text (less than 6pt)  & more detailed print areas.
